November
24, Tuesday) New Jersey, USA → Cancun, Mexico After less than 5 hours sleep, we got to the airport before 6am.TT is always crazy about getting to the airport early in case any unexpected things.I hate it but he is right in a sense. After checking in, we got Starbucks coffee and enjoyed the moment before the trip.It 's always our favorite part, beginning of a trip, everything ahead of us. The flight was packed with people. After two movies, we landed in Cancun, Mexico! The airport was small but clean.A lot of people stood by the airport entrance to give transportation information and sell site scene package. We spent $ 15 per person to get a shuttle to Hyatt.Otherwise, it would be $ 65 for a taxi.It 's like American price! Where is my Mexican dream? I thought I could live here like a queen with my dollars.Squeezed in a tiny car with another couple, we were heading to the hotel. Nothing yet I have seen so Mexico. It's more like a tropical vacation place in America. We have a room facing the ocean. The water is as blue as you can imagine, some light blue, some dark blue, some in between. We sat on the balcony, watching the ocean, listening to the wave.Let 's start the vacation right! G got here after we had lunch and took a nap.She has been in Mexico for a week. She went to Mexico City first then went diving. We couldn't wait for her to talk about her adventure and showus the pictures.G has done all the research about the trip, so we are just going to follow her everywhere. Finally, one time I don't need to do the planning. We decided to have dinner at a real Mexican restaurant. After checking on G's Lonely Planet, we decided to go to a restaurant called Checandole. It 's about 8km away.We took a taxi, which is about 150 peso (a little over $ 10). We met the nicest taxi driver on earth! He dropped us off at the restaurant and scheduled the time to pick us up, and without taking the one way fare.He said we could just pay him at the end.We were very 'flattered' by his trust.
